Louise Schmitt is a certified and licensed Occupational Therapist with over twenty-two years of clinical experience. She has provided therapy services to individuals ranging in age from infants to the elderly, and everyone in between. She specializes in assessing and treating gross motor, fine motor, and oral motor difficulties related to sensory or neurological issues. 

 

Louise provides a creative and neurodiverse treatment environment that focuses on the individual's strengths in order to achieve personal goals. She addresses functional skills, tasks, and routines in order to encourage independence and foster successful moments that can be applied at home and school. Through imaginative and explorative play, she provides opportunities to support development.

 

Louise received her Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy at Eastern Michigan University. She is a native Clevelander, by way of Austin, Texas, prior to settling in Powell in 2015. She currently resides there with her husband, four children, and dog, Fitz. Louise is an avid runner, hiker, and explorer of all things in the National Parks.
